History

We want to inspire our children to look at the world and its people with curiosity, encouraging them to reflect upon its diversity.  We want them to consider their place within the world in respect of their own identity and the challenges of their time. 

People’s lives can be complex and we want our children to understand that; how things can change, the diversity of societies and the relationships between different groups.   We want our children to be intrigued about Britain’s past and that of the wider world so that they are eager to know and find out more.   Through teaching in history, we will create learning opportunities so that they ask probing questions, thinking critically about the evidence before them and prepare arguments based on their perspectives and judgements.
